Re-usable shopping bags and totes
Got a pile of re-usable bags just kinda taking up space?

How about donating them?

The Need-A-Bag? program is always accepting donations of re-usable bags of all shapes and sizes, as long as they can be washed and used over and over! We also accept donations of tank tops, to be repurposed into "tee-bags" for shoppers.

We hang out at the local farmer's markets and offer the bags we collect to shoppers at the markets, free of charge, in an attempt to curb the need for plastic bags. Then, we take home the bags that have been returned to us/donated, wash them, and start all over again the next week.

We're not non-profit because we're lazy, but we do appreciate bag and monetary donations.

Interested in helping in other ways? We're looking for franchisers to take charge of the following markets: Tioga, Union Street, Haile, Butler Plaza, Newberry, Alachua and Greenery square.

We're also interested in finding someone who is a little less lazy than us to look into grant opportunities. I am an experienced grant writer; we just need someone to do the leg work. :)

Male or Female. Preferably a student at the university.

Looking to sublease my place for the summer. I will be moving out as soon as I graduate so my room will be available starting May 4th.

It's a great house that's 4/1.5. All of my roommates will be gone except for one who will be graduating summer A. The house has an enclosed front porch, a living room, a nice big kitchen and a laundry room with w/d. We also have a large backyard so you'll have plenty of parking space. Every room in the house has a ceiling fan which is great during the summer months.

Rent is $350 including utilities and cable.

This is a great house that's a five minute walk from campus, even less if you have a bike. The house is also located right next to the Bank of America and a hop and a skip away from Mother's pub.

I will also be willing to leave you the room furnished if you want.

Email me if you want to come see the house. Contact me through comments.

Gothic Costume Contest - Halloween Eve! this Friday
Halloween Eve Gothic Costume party this Friday in Gainesville FL

Party with the Darkside! Professor Drew and Das Toy will be spinning rocking electro goth beats.

Come on out to one of the few non-punk fest things to do on Friday Night in Gainesville!

This is going to be a great party! Last year was jam packed with people in all kinds of costumes especially a rocking space alien in a light-up costume and me as a demonic santa. I know of at least one awesome lightup costume this year and possibly some funky paper mache costumes.

Pics from last year:

Virtual Yard Sale
Cleaning out my closet. To save your friend's list, I've put the links to the Craig's List entries with the full descriptions, pictures and prices.

First up I've got an Nikon N80 SLR camera kit with two lenses (Tamron), five filters, and a large battery pack for extra punch.

Then we have an electronics butler to house and charge your cell phone and mp3 player - all wood, lovely.

And some wonderful Malabrigo Kettle Dyed Merino Wool that I've never used because I bought the wrong color. Good for me.

I also have the British show HEX on DVD. It's kind of like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but with ghosts. It's definitely interesting (BBC America: http://www.bbcamerica.com/content/120/index.jsp)

(I also have several pieces of Old Navy size 18 clothes - skirt, several shirts, and pair of Sweetheart jeans) but I need to get some pictures for you - everything is pretty and in beautiful condition.

For Sale: Everlast Boxing Bag
This is a brand new Everlast canvas boxing bag on a used stand. The bag is brand new. I think I punched on it twice - literally two punches. The stand is used but in excellent condition (except for the dust). Together I paid $130 for it. I'm asking $100 or best offer. Must be cash. No smoking home. We do have cats, but both cats are terrified of the bag so have stayed clear of it. No scratches on it either.

The stand does come completely apart and is easy to put back together. We were able to cart the whole thing home in the trunk of our Chevy Aveo.

This thing must go, please contact me with your best offer. Cannot go below $60.00.

Wedding Season Upon Us!
Do you need some really amazing one of a kind pieces of jewelry for your wedding? Let me make it for you. I'm a Gainesvillian who uses local artist and shops for supplies as well as local antique dealers for those inspiration pieces.

Most of the jewelry I make is a mixture of contemporary materials with some vintage pieces thrown in for a unique kick. I work on commission and sell online through LiveJournal and Blogger.com

I've currently made three pieces of jewelry for weddings: a bride's necklace and bracelet, a bride's earrings, and a necklace for a maid of honor (well, that wasn't exactly for the maid of honor, she just happened to buy it because it matches her dress *lol*).

I have extremely reasonable rates and will work with your budget.

The necklace and bracelet I made for my first bride is a very funky piece. Her second wedding and she wanted something she could wear not just for the wedding but afterwards too. She actually wore the necklace several times before the wedding!

If you'd like to see more of my work please visit my LiveJournal at the_two_thieves (which also has an entry on why it has such a goofy name!) Let me make you some fabulous one of a kind jewelry!

FREE!!! 3 Tier Book Shelf/Stand
3 Tier Stand for FREE!

I am moving in a couple months and just trying to clean out some things I don't need/use in my apartment. I am trying to get rid of this as quickly as possible.

It is made of brown wood and the longest dimensions are about 4ft x 4ft. I had been using it to display my plants on outside. It's a little flimsy but it held some heavy plant pots. It's still in pretty good condition. I had bought it from a yard sale about a year ago.

Let me know if you have any questions. It's just been sitting outside so you could come pick it up anytime before Monday (it's going into the trash then).

I have someone coming to pick it up tonight. If he doesn't end up wanting it you can leave you name and e-mail and I'll give it to the first person who can pick it up.
